LA County Fair

Angie and I took the girls to the LA County Fair, and oh did we have a great time. The girls loved visiting with all the animals, and enjoying all the fun things to do while at the fair.

Lizzie and Ella went with me into a petting zoo. Lizzie wanted to kiss each of the animals that we passed, but Ella got a little scared when the goats tried to kiss her. Then Lizzie wanted to get out of the petting zoo since the goat tried to kiss her back.

While we were there Ralph's put on an activity for the kids to learn how fruits and vegetables make it into the store. The girls were given a basket and put to work. The girls had to plant seed and harvest the crops, and even milk a cow. At the end after all their had work they were paid, and got to go shopping in the market. Krislynn wanted to help in harvesting the crop, but Lizzie didn't want to share the experience with her. Lizzie was a pro at milking-just like her Papa!

While Krislynn and I waited for the girls to finish up shopping; Krislynn had a great time trying to poke the pony behind the white fence. She would call him over and then squeal, and try to get him. Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest, but Krislynn loves every second of the fair.

Homecoming 2010

The past couple years we have lived out here we have attended the high school homecoming parade. The girls love to go see all the floats, and get all the candy. Since most high school kids think it is childish (for some reason) to pick up the candy that is being thrown. Lizzie and Krislynn left the parade with a whole stroller full of candy. LUCKY US!!!

Quicky to AZ

My cousin just got back from his mission, and let me just tell you these are my favorite people to go visit so we jumped in the car and drove to Arizona with 2 GROUCHY kids. We had a great time visiting everyone. Lizzie loved playing with her cousins, and asks daily when she gets to go back and play with Kaden and Jack. Even though it was a short trip we had a great time with The Parker's. Thanks for all the fun you guys!!!

popsicle puzzle time

http://craftsandartforchildren.blogspot.com/2010/07/dinosaur-popsicle-stick-puzzle-start.html

So the other day I was blog surfing and I came across this idea. They are super easy to make and Lizzie is obsessed with puzzles so it was a win win situation. Click on the link above to find out how to make them. Enjoy!

A fun day outside

The girls love to go outside and explore our backyard. The girls really have been into chalk and making lots of designs on the concrete, house, and sliders. Krislynn thought the chalk tasted extremely good today, and wanted Lizzie to try some. Thank goodness she didn't. Hooray for great weather, and such a cheap and easy idea to keep the girls entertained.
