A couple friends got together to make gingerbread/graham cracker houses. The kids had a great time decorating the houses with lots of yummy candy, but I think their favorite part was just eating tons of candy and getting a massive SUGAR rush! but my favorite part was Jenny's 7 layer dip she brought to share!!!

Beehive Pancake Breakfast

I had my beehives come over for a Pancake Beehive Party. We had a great time with lots of yummy food, and then we made treats for the girls to take home. The girls loved playing with Lizzie and Krislynn, and they even helped Lizzie color her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Poster. I'm grateful for my Beehives and all the fun we have together.
(Also thanks Andrea for coming over on such short notice to fill in for Angie!)- you are the best!

Christmas Fun-Gingerbread Man Hunt #6

Today we had a great time we headed over to Andrea's house and baked a gingerbread man, then read the story, "The Gingerbread Baby", we hid the gingerbread man in the house and the kids had to search for him. Then we decorated him, and ate him! What a great day!

Christmas fun-Library story time/craft #5

Today we had a great time at the library, we got there a little late. Totally missed story time since some kids were acting up and the librarian was sick of telling the kids to sit down and be quiet, but we had a great time decorating snowflakes with glitter for our Christmas tree.

Christmas Fun #3

So today we headed to Andrea's house for some more Christmas fun. We played Christmas Bingo, painted ornaments, and read Christmas stories. Here is the link for Christmas Bingo,(perfect for little kids learning shapes and color)
http://www.optimalprint.co.uk/s/xmas_advent_calendar/ChristmasBingo.pdf . We had prizes from the Dollar Store (BIG SUCCESS!) Then we painted the ornaments below, and when we got home Lizzie hung them on our Christmas tree. We also read a really cute book called, "A Letter to Santa" Can't wait for more Christmas fun... stay tuned for more fun ideas you can do with your kids!

Christmas Fun #2

Today we went to the Library for story time and a craft. The kids all had a great time. We read books about snow, sand a song about snow, and then made our very own snowman necklace! Lizzie loved the sticker face on her necklace, and by the time I got it home there was only 1 eye left on it.

Can't wait for more Christmas fun!

December is here!!! and you know what that means... Countdown Time!

My friend Andrea and I decided that we wanted to do some fun things with our kids to get ready for Christmas. So today was my day to plan the craft.. and since it is the first day of December we made a countdown chain to Christmas. Lizzie really like the craft since she got to play with glue (her favorite) and then we had lunch. Can't wait till Thursday for more Christmas fun!

Family Photo Shoot 09

Thanks to our wonderful babysitter Tyler for coming with us to take some pictures of our family. The day after Thanksgiving we met up with some of my family and let the girls plays while we visited, and then headed up to Oak Glen to check out the Apple Butter Festival, and see if the girls would let us get some family pictures for our newsletter this year. I think they turned out pretty good. Which one is your favorite? Whatever picture has the most votes will be this year's winner.
Let the voting begin!!!

Trip to Oak Glen

When ever we go to Oak Glen we have to make a stop here since they have the most yummy candy shop, and great Root Beer. Lizzie loves to walk around, and check out the animals and explore everything.

Lizzie LOVED the train ride. She waved at everyone as we went by them. I glad $3.00 could bring her such happiness!

David and Lizzie feeding the deers

I just love Autumn especially when the trees start turning colors, and the weather is getting a little cooler.

Temple Trip with the YW

Today was a very special day for my Beehive Girls (12-13 year old girls) it was the first time they could go into the temple and do baptisms for the dead. The spirit was so strong in the baptistery, and I'm so grateful that I could be a part of their first experience of doing temple work. I hope they will continue visiting the temple regularly and enjoy the blessing that come from attending the temple.

Krislynn spending time with Oma and Papa

Krislynn loves to hang out with her Oma and Papa. She loves to show them how she blows bubbles and always loves to snuggle them and show off her cute dimples and smile.

Mission Inn Lights-Family Tradition

Ever since we started dating we would always go see the lights at Mission Inn. This year we got to go with Ryan and Heddie Nichols. We enjoyed eating mini donuts and watching the ice skaters go by...

Krislynn and Rice Cereal

Krislynn had her 1st exposure to real food and she loved it! We started rice cereal with her and she is enjoying eating real food just like her BIG sister. Krislynn's Thanksgiving feast included: rice cereal, and all the yummy food mommy ate and shared with her. She can't wait to start veggies and fruit!
1st couple of bites...

Happy little camper with a full tummy!

and of course Lizzie wanted in on the action.
