Tuesday Nov. 27th we went to our last appointment with Dr. Basu. She said I needed to be induced since I was producing too much protein in my urine, and that it was too hard on the baby. We went to Labor and Delivery and they only had 1 bed left so they sent us to L&D observation where I would be able to start the whole process of being induced. By 4pm I was able to get out of bed and start walking around the hospital. We starting to feel the contractions at 5pm. By 6 pm we were up and walking again trying to get the contractions to become more intense . We were admitted at 7pm to Labor and Delivery and then the fun began. The cheerleaders and coaches arrived and we started the Lizzie arrival party. By 2am we were dilated to a 5, but she wasn't processing down the birth canal, by 8 am she was still not making any more progress so they broke my water and was hoping their was not going to be any complications. 9am rolled around she still was not making much progress and I was put on oxygen since her heartbeat was dropping a little. I was so nervous that I was going to need a C-section so I had David give her a pep-talk and by 10 am we were dilated to a 7 and during contractions we were dilated to an 8 to 9. They had us wait to push and have her slide down the birth canal a little more and by noon we were ready to push. After 18 pushed Lizzie made her from heaven to Riverside,CA. She was born at 12:39 in the afternoon weighing 8 lbs. 6 ounces and 21 inches long. She has brought so much happiness to our family. We hope you all will meet our little girl soon. Thanks for all the support.... Here are some pictures of our little girl.
