Here's to you President Hinckley...

David and I have been teaching dance steps to the Beehives and the Deacons from our church for the past 6 months. It has been a LONG road, but the end result turned out really well. There were over 2,700 youth from 12 stakes that performed in the Dance Festival this year. There were multiple dance number performed by the youth ranging from the waltz to the cha-cha. The youth of the Church really practiced hard the past 6 months even with the ups and downs that were presented they did a FABULOUS JOB! Even though I gripped and complained about all day Saturday practices and multiple hours of standing out in the heat I'm glad I was able to help the youth accomplish such a large production. The best part of the show was right before the show was about to start on Friday night some of the leaders from the Jurpua Stake needed a dancer to fill in since one of their youth quit at the last moment. I was able to DANCE BOTH NIGHTS!!! A lot of the youth thought I was 13 years old, and they found it crazy that I was a leader, married, and had a baby, but the dance square was complete and that's all that matters.

Thanks to all my girls and MANDI who put so many hours into this! You were fabulous!! Thanks guys for working so hard!!

Dessert Night Out

Bethany's Ice Cream Cake

So tonight I went over to Bethany's for a dessert party. So I made my famous brownie trifle. When I got to her house there was no one there so I thought I was super early. I found out no one showed up and it was just us. We had a great time eating and chatting while looking through recipes. It was just what I needed a night out where I could get rejuvenated. Thanks for all the fun Beth I had a great time.
I uploaded the links to both recipes since they are so yummy. Just click the title under each picture Enjoy!!

They found IZZY!!!!

I swear we should learn NOT to let IZZY or Piggy leave our house because they always end up missing. My sister felt horrible that she lost IZZY, the pink seahorse, in Walmart on Saturday. She tried calling, but no one had seen the pink seahorse anywhere. Well we thought she was long gone, but David received a call from Justin saying they found IZZY and she is waiting at Walmart for us to come and claim her. Oh how excited Lizzie will be to have her pink seahorse again, and how nice it will be to have Izzy hold Lizzie's bottle for me.
A couple times through the wash and Izzy will be like new!!!
Thanks Gigi for always coming though and saving the day!!!

Happy Birthday David

David and his new toy
The OLD school TV
It fits just perfectly!!!
So David has been wanting a new TV for a long time, and every time we save up just enough money an emergency happens and the money is gone. So since David's birthday is coming up and we found such an amazing deal... he got his new TV!!! Look at his face he looks like a kid in a candy store. Thanks Mom and Dad for helping pay for it. You made David's day!
Happy Birthday Davey!!!

Memories of Me

This ought to be funny.
Be Gentle.

Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Happy Birthday Ashlyn & Todd

Todd & Ashlyn enjoying their cupcake sundaes
Happy Birthday Ashlyn and Todd!!!
Lincoln wanted to join the birthday photos since his birthday is around the corner. Todd and Jen flew in Thursday night to celebrate birthdays while on their way to Hawaii. It was so great to see them even though we only got to see them for a couple of hours. We sure had a great time partyin' !!!!

Pulling up on EVERYTHING!!!!

So Lizzie's new TRICK is pulling herself up on everything! and eating everything in sight. She tries so hard to get up on things but most of the time it ends up that she falls and bonks her face on the ground and then FREAKS OUTS!!! Could she grow any faster? It seems that she just wants to become a BIG girl so fast that she wants to bypass the baby stages and be BIG!

Spring-O-Fun

Lizzie loves to play with the springs

FLY-GIRL

So the other day I was working in the kitchen and trying to get stuff put away. Lizzie was playing with her toys so I knew I had some time to get some stuff done. After a while she got dead silent... That is a BIG problem because I know she is doing something she isn't suppose to be doing. I look over into the living room and she is gone, I look over the island and she is at the base of her highchair covered in blackness. Her hands and face had black spots everywhere. I walked around the island and found this...
LIZZIE WAS EATING DEAD FLIES!!!!
I know... super gross huh? but let me inform you I mopped the floor, and there are no more dead flies for her to eat.
(This picture was taken after I started cleaning her up)

4th of July was so much fun. We spent the 1st part of the day at the lake, and then we drove home and prepared for the parade and fireworks. The kids had a great time at the parade and we got so much FREE stuff. It was probably one of the best small town parade I have ever been to. David enjoyed the free candy and shared it with all our friends. The fireworks were amazing. We watched them from our backyard and could see them perfectly. What a great way to spend the 4th great food, fun activities, amazing friends, and priceless memories....
