Spring is in BLOOM!

When we lived with Oma and Papa we would take walks all the time. When I got out of the car at Oma and Papa's house I could smell the aroma of the wildflowers, and I knew they would be in bloom. So I threw Lizzie in the stroller, and off we went to my favorite place to capture the flowers in bloom. Well the flowers aren't as pretty as last year, but the memories of Lizzie last year filled my mind... my girl has gotten so big just within a year, and I love her more each and everyday!

The Police are at my door?

Lizzie LOVES to play with the phone and pretend to talk to Grammy, Oma, or Daddy. Well after I got off the phone with my Mom Lizzie freaked out and she wanted to talk too. So I handed her the phone and she pretended to talk. She started to press some buttons and I grabbed the phone and hung it up just in case she had really called someone.
NO BIG DEAL RIGHT?
Well probably 20 mins after Lizzie was done playing with the phone there is a LOUD banging at our door. I look out the peek hole, and notice someone is standing around the corner peeking to see if anyone answers the door. At this point I'm not going to answer the door.... who hides around the corner when they come to your house? Then Lizzie started banging on the inside of the door, and the Police Office came into view. I opened the door, and asked in wonder what he was doing there. He asked if I had called 911. HOLY CRAP!!!! Lizzie called 911... I felt really bad, and the police officer understood. Man my girl is smart!
No more playing with the phone for Lizzie!

HAPPY 26th Birthday to ME!!!!

So where do most Southern California residents go on their birthdays? To DISNEYLAND of course!!! Well this was a special day since it was my birthday, and Lizzie's very 1st time to the Happiest Place on Earth. We started the festivities by stopping at Mr. Blue's Donuts in Riverside and enjoying some yumminess with some of our favorite people Heddie and Ryan, and then he headed to Disneyland. I have been to Disneyland plenty of times in the past, but never on a Saturday. The lines weren't too bad, but 40 minutes for Dumbo with Lizzie was WAY TOO LONG! So we only rode 3 rides the whole day, but we had a great time! I enjoyed my favorite... A Disney Corn dog, and let me tell you it was good! Here are some pictures of our adventure at Disneyland...

AOTW # 5 Bird Farm

Today the adventure of the week took us to Redlands to the Bracken Bird Farm. It is a great place to take your kids, and feed the animals and check out all the different birds that they have to buy. Plus, they even have an atrium where you can walk in and have all the birds flying all around you which was pretty cool. The kids had a great time, and it was fun to visit with my friends (Ashley, Katie, and Nicole)

FUN with NATHAN!!!

Nathan has been wanting to make an appearnance on our blog for a while now and I have been a BAD friend and not included him. Well today that will change! NATHAN this post goes out to you! We were lucky enough yesterday to go to a sealing in Newport at 10 am then go to IKEA and do a little shopping plus have lunch, and then drive to San Diego for another sealing at 3 pm. The day was PERFECT! The sealings were amazing, and how many times can you say that you went to 2 different temples in one day? (Unless you live in Utah where temples are on every block) Then we met up with our good friends Nathan and Chelsea and her family. The boys love to have fun, and here is a perfect example of it!

Earaches.... and more earaches!

Earaches are the worst!!! I grew up with earaches ALL the time, and I have been really nervous that Lizzie would develop that trait from me. Well the day FINALLY arrived on the 6th of March! Lizzie had been cranky the past couple of days, but I thought it was due to her teeth coming in and not getting the best of sleep... RIGHT? Well after I got her up from her nap she just screamed in the kitchen till I came and got her. (Not usual!) I sat her on my lap and we watch PBS like normal... probably 45 mins later I noticed that Lizzie's hair was all stuck to her face on her left side, and then I took a better look! (GREEN BOOGER-LIKE PUSS) coming out of her ear! Right then David came home and we loaded ourselves in the car and drove to Kaiser Riverside for a checkup. Well Lizzie had a outer ear infection in her right ear and a inner ear infection in her left ear that had perforated. Lizzie did great! She was excited to play with the kids at Kaiser, and super excited to the medicine to get better. The ear drops are finally done HOORAY! but we are still working on the oral meds for a couple more days! Poor baby... I feel bad that she got my ear genes!

Thumbs up for medicine!

Boys say the darnest things...

So yesterday Lizzie and I took a trip to Menifee and visited Mandi and Waimea since their park day doesn't start until 11 am I thought the girls would get more time to play. So the girls were having a great time going up and down the stairs on the jungle gym and crossing the bridge and playing with the other kids. Well these 2 little boys came up to Mandi, the girls, and me (they were probably around the age of 4) with their sticks and talking about red ants. From what I got from their conversion: RED ANTS ARE VERY BAD!!!! They talked about killing the ants with their sticks and we told them they should go try about their prediction. Well after a couple minutes they returned and told us they couldn't kill the ants since there were too many of them. Well then I came up with the great idea for them to run through them so they could get to the other side of the playground... and this is how the conversion when!

"Maybe you could run through them?" (Katrina)

"I can't run fast like Lighting McQueen!" (the black lil boy)

"Well maybe you could walk through them really fast then" (Katrina)

"I don't know about that. Then maybe they would get on my shoes!" (the lil black boy)

The other lil boy chimes in " Yeah cause if they got on my shoes then they would climb up my legs and bite my penis, and that hurts REALLY BAD!""

After that comment Mandi and I looked at each other and we could help but laughing. Their grandma's were sitting right there and over heard the whole conversion.

Then one of the Grandma's told the boys," We shouldn't talk about our penis in front of the girls!"

The boys looked at each other picked up their sticks and went off to explore the rest of the playground. In the distance we could still hear them talking about the ants. I hope they don't get bit! Boys say the darnest things!!!!

Why you should ALWAYS have pantry doors!

"MOMMY WOW!!!! LOOK WHAT I DID!"

Since we bought a REPO there were a couple things wrong with the house when we bought it. Nothing extreme just a thing here or there. Well someone broke into the house before we put our offer in, and had stole 6 of the doors in the house ( the laundry room, nursery room, master bath, office, and the pantry doors) Well I hated having everyone who came into our home to see what was in our pantry so I hung some curtains to hid the food WALA!!!! Quick fix right? Well since Lizzie is A LOT taller now my pantry is struggling.. since I have only 3 shelves she can't reach just yet. Lizzie LOVES to play with the curtains and play with the food... and this is what happened.. Cheerios EVERYWHERE!!!!
I need doors David Please!!!!

Stake Conference

Lizzie enjoying her ride

Sunday was our Stake Conference and I kinda dreaded going since Lizzie has a hard enough seating through on hour in the same spot and not being able to visit with everyone around her like she wants to every Sunday. I prayed really hard that Lizzie would be EXTRA good, and want to seat there and play with the toys in her Sunday bag. The first 15 mins. she did really well playing and eating snacks, but then she noticed she could climb on the chairs in front of us, and they were really slippery and she almost fell off them a billion times. So between David and I we split the time in the hallway, and let Lizzie get out her energy and play with the other kids. The best part is that I ran into an old friend from The San Bernardino Stake that I grew up with So Emily and I got to catch up.

*Thanks Gregory Shaw for not even telling me your sister lived in our stake!

Too tired.. needed Daddy's head to rest on!

NEVER PARK ACROSS THE STREET FROM KAISER RIVERSIDE!!!

Friday the 27th we were going into Kaiser to find out what we were having. The day was going great, I was ahead of schedule and the day looked like it was going to be a FABULOUS day. Well I arrived to Kaiser 30 mins early since I knew the FLU season is here and parking at Kaiser is kinda tough sometimes. Let me just tell you when I drove into their parking lots it was mayhem. There were NO parking spots and there were 5 billion people scoping out the spots that were becoming available. As I drove around the parking lot time kept ticking, and I knew my appointment was approaching. SO I did what any NORMAL person would do, and drive out of the parking lot and go across the street since that parking lot was EMPTY!! If you know Kaiser Riverside well I parked at Black Angus. I noticed a sign that said we are not responsible for theft or breaking into your car.. BLAH... BLAH!!! I thought my car would be safe there... no BIG deal right?
I WAS SO WRONG!!!

So we went to the appointment found out we were having a girl, took Lizzie to get her 15 months shots. Then I put Lizzie in the stroller and started walking to the car. Thank goodness David pulled up to us right as I saw the parking lot that I parked in because our car was GONE!!!! Then I noticed all the signs that said that Kaiser patients are NOT ALLOWED TO PARK HERE AND WILL BE TOWED AWAY!!!! SO I called RPD and told them my story they asked me for my VIN number or License Plate Number. I have no idea what they are. Do you know your VIN number or your License plate number off the top of your head? They told me to call my insurance company and get my VIN number and call them back. SO I called our insurance company told them my predicament, and they gave me my info. Then I called back RPD and they told me my car was towed and gave me the number. So I called the towing company and guess where they towed me to? NORCO!!!! I was so pissed by this time, and I guess my car had just left the parking lot before I got there so it was still in route to the towing yard. The best part of the story is that my car seat is in the car! So I explain that I need my car seat to come and get my car since I have Lizzie with me, and they told me it was not there problem. Thank goodness for David. He took Lizzie in her stroller and went to lunch with my Mom and David's mom while I drove out to Norco to get the car back. So I pull up to the towing yard and my car IS NOT THERE! I got there before my car even got there. SO the lady at the window was really rude to me... I was just not in the mood for that right now since we just had a great experience finding out about our new baby girl. Any women knows that after an Ultrasound you have to pee so bad since they make you drink so much water. I asked the lady if I could use her restroom since I just had an ultrasound or I was going to have an accident right there. She let me use their nasty bathroom, but at that time I didn't care what it looked like.. it had a toilet and that was all that mattered. After that she was nicer to me and pulled off some of the fees. At this moment I see my car coming into the lot. (the car touched their lot for less than 2 mins. but since they have to take the car off the truck they throw on another $45.00 holding fee) So then she told me how much it was going to be since when the call comes in that is when they start charging so for an hour and a half it was going to be $385.00. I was totally blown away. Then she told me she would knock some of the fee off so it cost me $215.00! David and I were furious that they would charge this much since I saw my car come off the truck! Then I asked if I could leave David's car there since I had to leave my baby and husband in Riverside since we had no car seat. They told me no and they would tow it. I had some words with her and she gave me an hour to come back and get the car.. so I hurried back and got David and Lizzie, then drove back to Norco dropped off David, and drove back to Riverside to meet my mom.

* So the moral of the story is don't park across the street from Kaiser or you will be towed and they will probably tow you to Norco as well. I think we should ban ourselves from going to Black Angus since they are LAME and inconsiderate!!! And you shudl always carry something that has your VIN number or license plate number on it so when you call the police department they will be able to help you.

*But the best part was that Black Angus was NOT EVEN OPEN FOR CUSTOMERS YET!!!! and they still towed me! Lame people!!!!

So
